Artist Statement
When it comes to art, I like simple aspects. When I was a child the characters from cartoon shows fascinated me. I draw my influences from these simple, colorful, cute and friendly pieces of art that drew me to want to match that style. Inspired by these examples, I strive to replicate and create new kinds of ideas and stories through digital means including 3D printing.
Biography
Dakota is currently attending the Black Hills State University and will graduate in the Spring of 2021. He is majoring in Graphic Design and Fine Arts. Dakota has used his skills to create signage and labels at the Holbrook Library located at Ellsworth AFB, SD. He also uses his editing skills to create various sculptures with the library’s 3D printers, with some examples being Dungeons and Dragons figurines, train track parts, and a large medieval castle.
